The food in terms of variety and availability during different hours had room for improvement. And some awkward charges asked by the management, such as payment for a small bottle of water, be it in your room or for daily excursion disembarking, but not only left in me a feeling of "an approach of maximizing revenues once the guests are on board".
As one may be aware, the Prinsedam is leaving the HA fleet in july, I wonder if that is the reason why there was obvious neglect on the ship.
I will only touch on the subject which had the greatest impact on this voyage, the shore excursions which also includes the disembarkation transfers provided by HA.
We were traveling with friends who were transitioning also from wintering in florida, thereby having extra luggage with them.
We are 4 seniors with varying degrees of mobility issues, imagine being dropped off a block away from the airport entrance by a driver who spoke no english, no HA representative in sight, no porters and no wheelchair assistance especially for my husband, who had difficulty standing.
We made our flight with 20 minutes to spare, with major effort, but soon after arriving home my husband was admitted to the hospital with congestive heart failure.
He is now home, recovering, and not looking to cruise with HA anytime soon. Gofer42 wrote a review Apr Basel, Switzerland 90 contributions 24 helpful votes.
The last continent on my list. There was competition from other groups. Our guide lamented that our tour was started too a bit too late to avoid the rush because of the timing of the excursion from the ship even 30 minutes earlier would have been better.
Lovely room seen briefly as part of the Catherine Palace excursion. I would have preferred to have been allowed to take photos, which I had paid for as part of the Catherine Palace excursion.
Very long line-up again. Lots of gold and Baroque decor. It's too bad that no photos were allowed in the amber room.
Two-day excursion which included city tour ended up going on the same route and seeing the same buildings and monuments several times over.
The amount of history, culture, and art here is overwhelming. There was a great deal of time wasted waiting in line outside of palaces and museums.
Once inside, it felt rushed. There was not enough time to enjoy any of the art. Although I resented the extra fees to be allowed to take photos and video inside each attraction, I was glad that I did because now I can at least look at some of the art at my own pace.
I cannot understand why no photos were allowed in the amber room or inside Peterhoff's. This was perhaps a good way to be introduced to St. Enter Email Confirm Email.

It's got the line's signature Explorations Cafe by the New York Times, a lovely reading room and library. The Pinnacle Grill, Holland America's alternative restaurant that serves Northwest-inspired cuisine, has a fresh look and new menus.
Cabins were refreshed with new carpets. And the ship, which has never been marketed as a family-friendly member of the HAL fleet, now operates the Club HAL kids' program though there's no dedicated facility and counselors are only onboard during holidays when multi-generational groups are likely to be traveling.
Originally named the Royal Viking Sun when it debuted in , and later the Seabourn Sun, the vessel has always been one where passenger comforts rank high with officers and crew.
That philosophy has continued with Holland America. The ship's guest relations desk, for example, is visited daily by passengers who just want to say "hi" to staff rather than to voice a complaint.
It was great, we felt really safe and looked after. We covid tested 3 days before departure at home then again on the day of departure MSC's It was another year of travel.
And this year we decided to travel once more on an MSC line. We had been doing it for several years for the least 15 years or more.
It was delightful. It was the right size ship with My husband and I booked this cruise for our anniversary. We wanted to try one of the mega ships and we are glad we chose Harmony of the Seas.
There was so much to do and see on Harmony. This cruise was the last This was Coral Expeditions first voyage since March.
Our main aim was to Wanted to try this ship because it was pretty new. The ship was clean public areas as well as the stateroom - I stayed in a balcony deluxe stateroom so it had a tub too , and its layout was well thought out as We the ship for the most part although the entertainment left us a little surprised.
Really weird show at dinner in Eden.Lovely city. Cooking demonstrations were good. Very colourful.
